I'm an Atmos Clock and an Anniversary Clock overhaul Instructor !

I perform basic clock repairs and for the most part, can handle
anything "clock-wise" that comes my way. But since most of you are
not in a drivable distance, I only take in the Atmos, 400-day, electric,
and other mantel or small wall type clocks. With any large wall clock
and grandfathers or other floor type clocks, you would be much better
served locally. I do NOT work on or exchange anything QUARTZ.

I charge based on how many springs, or winding arbors (key holes), or weights there are on the clock. The Atmos is one exception to this and please d/l my file atmos.doc or look at the Web page of the same name (atmos.html).
The electric clock is the other exception and please d/l my file electric.mcc or look at the Web page of the same name the (electric.html).
For the 400-day, I charge $200.00 plus any needed parts and return shipping and insurance.
For a one spring or one weight clock, I charge $250.00 plus any needed parts and return shipping and insurance.
For a two spring or two weight clock, I charge $350.00 plus any needed parts and return shipping and insurance. This also includes any one spring fusee.
For the Atmos and any 30/31 day clock, I charge $400.00 plus any needed parts and return shipping and insurance.
For a three spring or three weight clock, I charge $600.00 plus any needed parts and return shipping and insurance. This also includes any two spring fusee.
For a three spring fusee, I charge $750.00 plus any needed parts and return shipping and insurance.
For any Anniversary (special edition) Atmos and the Reutter Atmos, I charge $650.00 plus any needed parts and return shipping and insurance.
In general, return shipping and insurance will cost you an extra $30.00 but can be as high as $50.00 depending on weight and size.
I always advise double boxing. The clock itself should be bubble wrapped and any addition space is occupied by packing peanuts or newspaper and then that box is boxed again with the same parameters as mentioned.
From the time I received the clock until the time it's ready to go, it usually takes about 3 to 4 months and actual charges depend on the parts needed and if I have to send any work out that is not in my area of expertise.
Upon the receipt of the clock, I inspect it to make sure that it survived its trip to the Clinic. Inspection is immediate but the estimate can take two weeks. I contact you after the estimate phase and either call or E-mail and send an invoice via E-mail. At that time the "estimate" becomes a quote and the price stated is final 99% of the time. Your approval is needed before I actually start the overhaul and payment for any part cost is expected at that time.
Once testing starts, it is performed in two parts. The first test is the function test to ascertain whether or not my overhaul was satisfactory. Then the second test is the timing test which takes about 1 to 3 weeks. During this second test period, I either call or E-mail you an E-copy of the invoice and I expect payment in the form mentioned below. I ship when both the payment and the second testing period have both been satisfied. Normally shipping takes place one week or so after I receive payment.
When I ship back the clock the package will contain your original invoice.
If you decide not to go ahead with the repair, then I return the clock via UPS and COD. The charge will be $100.00 labor, plus the COD charge ($8.00), plus my standard shipping and the insurance charges ($30.00). This total works out to be $138.00 for a clock returned unrepaired after my estimate. The COD is dropped if you are a previous customer of mine. Atmos shipping is $50.00 instead of the $30.00 mentioned above.
I would like payment by money orders, certified checks, or company checks but considering the testing time, personal checks are fine and repeat customers may always use personal checks.
You may also use Pay Pal by clicking on the link below.

I do not do any work, repair, or refinishing on the case except on the Atmos and 400-day clocks.
